Ashley Brophy - DirectorProducer Performer RiggerAshley is from a large show business family that dates back to the early 1900's. (See Brophy History) he has been performing for more than 35 years and producing shows, and rigging for much of that time. In 2000, in the spirit of his parents who founded Brophy Bros Attractions (so named after Ashley and his brothers who were the performers) Ashley then co-founded “Brophy Productions” where he then gained valuable experience with production, administration and general running of the business. As well as teaching Circus Arts with "The Flying Fruit Fly Circus" and later "Brophy Academy of Circus Arts". Ashley has always had a big role in rigging with Circus Tents, High Wire and Aerial Acts. He attained his Advanced Riggers and Industrial Abseiling tickets and more rigging experience was gained with various rigging company's through rigging in entertainment centres, shopping centres and large concerts and festivals such as Splendorfest, Bon Jovi and the largest touring concert rig in the World "U2". Ashley also continued with partnerships with a 50% share in Marquees Australia Event Hire where he gained valuable experience in event hire. Brophy's have now changed the name to Brophy Events Pty Ltd due to the expanded products and services now offered. Ashley still loves performing and gets out there whenever he can. In 2009 he competed and went so far as the Semi finals in Channel 7's 'Australia's Got Talent " |
